There are many types of clay sand molding machines. What should we pay attention to when choosing a good clay sand molding machine? The choice of the molding method of the machine and the selection of the molding method should be comprehensively considered based on many factors.
(1) Casting accuracy: When castings with high dimensional accuracy and high surface roughness are required, the molding method with high sand compactness should be selected.
(2) Casting materials: different casting materials have different requirements for the rigidity of the sand mold. General cast steel and cast iron requirements are higher than non-ferrous alloys, ductile iron is higher than gray iron and malleable cast iron. For materials with high sand mold stiffness requirements, the molding method with high sand mold compactness should be used.
(3) Molding structure: For example, when the casting has narrow grooves, high hanging sand, dense air vents, etc., the molding method with high mold release precision and uniform sand compactness should be selected.
(4) Casting output, batch and variety: large-volume, large-volume, single-variety castings should use high-efficiency or special molding equipment; small-batch and multi-variety castings should use molding equipment with flexible technology and convenient production organization. Single-piece production is suitable for manual molding.
(5) Shape, size and weight of castings: When conditions permit, castings with similar shapes, small sizes and weights should use the same clay sand molding machine. This is especially true when the sand box needs to be equipped with belts to facilitate the unification of the sand box.
(6) Requirements for molding sand: When multiple sets of clay sand molding machines are arranged on the same production line, the requirements for unified molding sand should be considered as far as possible to select the clay sand molding machine.
(7) Configuration equipment of the molding workshop: This point is especially important when the old workshop is renovated. It should be combined with the original workshop plant conditions, other auxiliary equipment (such as furnace, sand treatment, etc.) production capacity, process level, transportation conditions, process flow, etc. To analyze from a system engineering perspective, determine which clay sand molding machine is the most suitable to maximize the benefit of investment.
(8) Tooling conditions: The dimensional accuracy and surface roughness level of the pattern should be matched with the selected clay sand molding machine.
(9) Preferentially choose molding equipment with less pollution, low noise (no noise and no harmful gas), which can meet environmental protection, industrial hygiene and labor safety.
